The Coronavirus Surveillance Cell of Public Health Wales (PHW) has launched an interactive data dashboard which allows the Welsh health system, public and media to gain more insight about COVID-19 in Wales.
The dashboard will be updated every day at 2 pm and will display vital public health data relating to COVID-19 in Wales. At present, the dashboard includes data on the number of confirmed cases in Wales as per local authority area, the number of individuals tested and the demographics of confirmed cases. However, the dashboard is expected to be continuously expanded to include new information.
The dashboard will considerably reduce the pressure on the PHW teams who have been producing and updating information on COVID-19 manually until now.
Dr Giri Shankar, Incident Director for the COVID-19 outbreak response at PHW, said: "This easy-to-use resource of Coronavirus data in Wales will be a one-stop-shop for the health system in Wales, as well as helping the media and public to understand how the virus is affecting our population.”
