The Department of Health in Northern Ireland has launched a daily dashboard of statistics for COVID-19 to provide a comprehensive insight about COVID-19 in Northern Ireland. The information is updated every day, and new content will be added as and when available.
The dashboard is expected to complement the data currently available in the public domain and the weekly mortality data published by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency. It provides several key statistics on the number of COVID-19 admissions and discharges, outbreaks in care settings, occupancy of hospital and intensive care unit beds and demographic breakdowns. Data are available at the local government district, trust and hospital levels.
The daily mortality statistics on the dashboard refer to individuals having tested positive for SARS-COV-2 within 28 days of their death, regardless of whether COVID-19 was the cause of death.
Health Minister, Robin Swann said: "It is vitally important to keep the public well informed. That includes statistics as well as the all-important advice on how to keep themselves and their loved ones safe."
